Houston City-Metro Area Spring 2012 Tryouts

Times:

1:00pm - 45+ Division

2:00pm - 30+ Division

3:30pm - Open Division

Workout Format:

All players should be dressed in appropriate baseball attire, on time, and ready to work out at designated start times for the division in which you wish to play in. You will need your own equipment and personal gear including bat, glove, and batting helmet at minimum. We will workout a series of drills for infielders, outfielders, pitchers, catchers, and also look at hitting skills. (You may tryout at several positions if desired). Scrimmage or Inter-squad Game possible. Draft immediately following. Bring your best skills to the field. Total time including draft is between 1-2 hours per division.

Season Info:

The 2012 Spring Season will have 15 regular season games scheduled followed by a double elimination tournament. (17 games minimum, possible 22). All games are 2 hours 30 minutes, or 9 innings. The season also includes MSBL National annual Membership, liability and player injury medical insurance, game balls, scorebook, web sites and portals, field maintenance programs, administration, and championship team award. 1-2 games scheduled per week, weeknight and weekend games excluding major holidays, played on a selection of the best baseball fields available to adult players in the Houston area.

League Fees are on a "per-team" basis and are divided equally by the number of players on the roster set by the manager. Fees to play, including umpires fees, should be approximately $250-$275 per player depending on roster size for the entire 17-22 game season. This excludes personal equipment. League fees should be paid to your manager prior to the start of the season. There are no scholarships.
