North Houston - Spring 2012 Tryouts

Location: Carl Barton Park - Zak Kahn Complex

Workout Format:

All players should be dressed in appropriate baseball attire, on time, and ready to work out at 2pm. You will need your own equipment and personal gear including bat, glove, and batting helmet at minimum. We will workout a series of drills for infielders, outfielders, pitchers, catchers, and also look at hitting skills. (You may tryout at several positions if desired). Draft immediately following. Be ready and bring your best skills to the field. Total time including draft is approximately 2 hours.

Season Info:

The 2012 Spring Season will have 12 regular season games scheduled followed by single elimination playoffs (13 games minimum, possible 17). All games are 2 hours 30 minutes, or 9 innings. The season also includes MSBL National annual Membership, liability and player injury medical insurance, game balls, scorebook, web sites and portals, field maintenance programs, administration, and championship team award. 1-2 games scheduled per week, mostly weekend games excluding major holidays, played on a selection of the best baseball fields available to adult players in the North Houston area.

League Fees are on a "per-team" basis and are divided equally by the number of players on the roster set by the manager. Fees to play, including umpires fees, should be approximately $220-$260 per player depending on roster size for the entire season. This excludes personal equipment. League fees should be paid to your manager prior to the start of the season. There are no scholarships.
